Manchester United Women have signed Andrea Medina, a 22-year-old defender from Spain.
What happened?
Medina joins the Red Devils on a three-year deal after her contract with Atletico ended. Matt Johnson, United's director of women's football, said: "Andrea has all of the technical attributes, character and determination required to thrive at Man Utd."

Medina is expected to compete for a starting spot, possibly at left-back or centre-back. She has already played against Manchester United Women three times in the UWCL last season. Medina said: "Man Utd has an incredible history and I am excited to join a team that is determined to write its own chapter at one of the most important clubs in the world.
